Attention! Movie Pick 'Ems: Markie Mark battles Angelina 'Eastwood' Jolie

Disclaimer: I'm going to leave out The Interview due to the unpredictable pattern of releases. If it had a wide release, I think the craze publicity it had, would push it way over the edge. Could still score big..

But there's still 3 prominent movies being released and none seem to stand above the other. First up is 'The Gambler', a remake of sorts of an older James Caan flick. Seems to be a standard character drama but is headlined by one of Hollywood's (no not Leo) best, Mark Wahlberg. Also stars John Goodman and one of the dudes from the wire.

Second to the plate is 'Big Eyes', a potential Oscar dark horse from Tim Burton starring the king of villains, Christoph Waltz and Amy Adams. It's based on an actual artist. What it has over the other two, is that it might be the only kid friendly film (however, it is not the only PG-13 film released..).

And finally you have Angelina Jolie's next effort as she turns into the female Clint Eastwood with the war drama/biographical film 'Unbroken'. The cast is largely up and comers but it will easily resonate with war veterans/patriotism due to Louie Zamperini's inpirational life and has received massive marketing and campaigning. It's also only PG-13.

Pick which will gross the mat domestically. They all open on Christmas. Good luck! (Scores will be updated later).

Unbroken should win easily due to theatre count(and finish second overall), but I'll wait for the MetaCritics for these before I make my choice.

Nah, I had my daughter last weekend and did Christmas stuff. The internet didn't seem to matter much on Friday and Saturday.

    I think it'll probably be Hobbit-Unbroken-Into The Woods-Museum-Annie.

I think Night holds well with the kids this weekend. Gambler did okay on Thursday, but I'm guessing Annie holds better over the weekend.
