As for simming the rest of the season all at once. Part of me likes the idea, part of me worries about the added impact to a team that suffers a key injury to a player early on in the sim and now they're having to succumb to the whims of the AI for the playoff run.
So you could split the difference and sim All of August and then all of September (so only 2 sims versus 3-4) as well as sim them with 1 day off (ex. August on Monday, September on Wednesday) to allow for teams to submit changes so that they can to account for injuries and such -- this way we sim quicker so GMs stay engaged etc. thoughts?

also, i would be on board if you just let the claiming team take him for nothing, if the waiving team wanted. it would probably just lead to a dump for 1 star single a prospect anyway.
This post reflects my thoughts as well.

Well with PSL, I had a separate thread just for that and gave time from the GM to post their waiver and for teams to claim them
Re: Post-deadline waivers beginning 2072? (Discussion, please respond)
I was only joking about simming in one shot. The most logical move is just changing the sim schedule and finish it in 3 or 4 days vs a few weeks. Same for the post season. If a team can't post lineup changes in 24 hours at this point in a league that's older than Cyanatic, then uh, whatever. Swift sim, moving on to the next.
But it's obviously up to whatever your real life schedule is.
Also, hammer has a good idea of doing a trial run, would serve as a test for everyone. That wouldn't hurt and gives you whatever experience to decide if you want to bother with it going forward. I like the idea of essentially being able to trade, albeit tricky, beyond a trade deadline. But it just might not be worth your time.

I encourage anything that may produce more activity. Even marginal.

Whatever the majority decides.

I’m fine with whatever is decided. I feel like it’s probably too much of an extra burden for Leo, but would be a fun wrinkle if it was instituted. I don’t think a team should be able to waive a player and a contender to acquire the player for free though.

I’m going to be clear about one thing here. If this were to happen nobody would get anyone for free. There still has to be a fair trade.
