Thumbs Up May 2059 Power Rankings

We've made it to May! Yay!

I've also managed to list all 28 teams on the first go around. That's my OOTP boost for the year. As always, the list goes from last to first. Enjoy.

    28. New York (A) (previously 25)
Started off with one win, but is 6-4 in last 10. By far the worst pitching, and that's a bold statement given how awful the AL is in that area.

    27. Cincinnati (previously 23)
Their offense is incredible. Cerrano' OPS is mind blowingly bad. I suspect a change in religion soon.

    26. Houston (previously 28)
They have a GM now. THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS

    25. San Francisco (previously 24)
Rebuilding team, hey time for free advertisement, this team has a couple big time bats and a front line starter available.

    24. Milwaukee (previously 21)
    Damn it, they're GM-less now.

    23. Seattle (previously 19)
After showing a lot of life in their youth last season, so far, big step backwards.

    22. Arizona (previously 27)
At least they didn't deal a possible top 10 pick for John Olerud this time!..

    21. Texas (previously 26)
The only thing that matters is that Mike Tyson is developing fast.

    20. Detroit (previously 15)
The regression was expected once the GM became disinterested. Notre Dame isn't the only Irish that suck.

    19. Pittsburgh (previously 17)
Offensively challenged, but just acquired a very productive leadoff man in Honus Wagner. They're systematically building up.

    18. Cleveland (previously 20)
Claude So. Anytime a player has nearly as many walks as hits is certainly one of my favorite fake players.

    17. Minnesota (previously 18)
    Who?

    16. Atlanta (previously 22)
The NL East has never been so deep. Atlanta's rebuild might be slightly ahead of schedule

    15. St. Louis (previously 12)
Just think, they're a little bit more pitching from being a serious wild card threat. Offense is off to a great start.

    14. Los Angeles (previously 8)
Anyone else notice the irony that they are the worst defensive team in the league? Me too.

    13. Chicago (A) (previously 16)
The return of KoBe to sim leagues. I'm just glad they have someone active.

    12. Colorado (previously 9)
So, they play at Coors right?

    11. Boston (previously 7)
AL + Fenway Coors = just forget about pitching ever.

    10. Philadelphia (previously 14)
Go dark-horse pick go! Get 'em!

    9. New York (N) (previously 4)
Not the number one staff but still 4th in runs/5th in ERA. Lack of offense has held them back, as they're currently tied with Philly.

    8. Toronto (previously 11)
Very balanced start so far. They acknowledged it yesterday, their weakness, poor defense in the outfield. Their closer is off to a pretty bad start too. Real challenge for Balty?

    7. Anaheim (previously 10)
The Crime Dawg is on pace for 90 homeruns. But Pedro is awful.

    6. Montreal (previously 13)
Great start, rare air for anyone to be leading the NL East ever. Pitching has been unreal so far. Beefy even.

    5. Oakland (previously 6)
Dipped a bit in the last 10, but off too a very hot start. Anaheim is not far behind though. Frank Howard is going Barry Bonds on people.

    4. Baltimore (previously 3)
Ratings are slipping a little, but performance is still on par. Insane stat alert: only 165 strikeouts as a team

    3. Chicago (N) (previously 5)
One of only two NL teams in the top 10 for offense, just click their ratings report, it's hardly surprising.

    2. Kansas City (previously 1)
Living up to preseason hype thus far and the division is better than before. Bullpen not so hot.

    1. San Diego (previously 2)
Off to a hot start, including a sweep of the Cubs. Still has to play Montreal and NYM. Franklin Bill Clinton continues to be one of the biggest rating anomalies in the league.

And its not even Weeks' fault (he's only got 5 errors), I could make it much worse like moving Weeks back to 3b!... I demoted Ruiz to get him some more ab's and try to level out his hitting talent before it was too late. He'll probably be in the starting line up soon.

My offense is still good. Pitching...... I still want to tear it down.
