Assuming Sova or Whitehurst don't lose talent, can I use mine on Marc Tew since 2060 is the last year and it happened in the playoffs? He's in AAA and close as well.
#59 Marc Tew, Reliever, 21 yrs, New York (N) Mets - Out of the Park Baseball Report
Monday 10/23/2060 :
Marc Tew has lost some movement on his pitches...
Marc Tew's control seems to have taken a bump...
I believe he was 7,8,7...maybe 7,9,7, but I think the control was only 8.

It's not the spec dying, I'll just auction him off, it's the subjective rule being unfairly enforced, like every single other rule, just like every single other idea from the TV market stuff to the other crap changed on a whim.
Whatever though. I'd like to save Cassel. If he doesn't qualify because the Sun is in the house of Neptune in the 5th dimension or some shit I'll save Ken's defence, assuming no one else loses talent during the WS.

The TV market stuff never even came into being. That was just something I talked about. Or if you're talking about what I used to do with that, I quit doing that because it prooved to be useless and have no real tangible effect. So that'd be like getting upset because I choose to sim from a different computer. All in all, the TV market stuff was an attempt to try and make things more fair, and something you seemed gung-ho about, so it seems odd for you to cite that as something you hate.
As for this rule I think even a blind squirrel would say Bradford isn't close to ready so don't tell me I'm being unfair there. I have to be subjective with that criteria because there's no real way to be specific with it but Bradford isn't even close.
If you can show me where I fixed someone as far off as he is I'll gladly negate it.

And Cassel's close enough. I'll fix him.
Although, I'd like to point out that if I was as arbitrary with this as you're making it out I'd deem Cassel not close enough out of sheer spite, but I like to be fair and he isn't far off.

I don't think you're inherently not fair, I think the issue of human subjectivity comes into play a bit more often than it should. If it was a you thing, I'd just say fuck you and quit, but I do think it's just happenstance essentially.

Well I'm not perfect and at the end of the day this is just a hobby so there's no getting around the occasional occurrences of unfairness or inconsistency.
But when you cite the actual rules, which have been put in to place primarily for those reasons, as the source of unfairness while arguing about somebody not being fixed who clearly doesn't fall under criteria 3 plainly listed in the first post it gives me pause.
If Bradford were at least a little closer to make it arguable it'd be different. But he's nowhere near close.

But in the interest of less subjectivity I may come up with some specific criteria for that one. I just hope this doesn't constitute a rule "changing on a whim".

What about a comments thread during the offseason for people to put their 2 cents in and maybe help setup the rule?

Or leave it like it is. We have had any "issue" until now. It's okay Bradford will be auctioned off. Other GMs will complain and will ignore regular trade blocks like this season. So let's just move on.

You know what I do when people ignore my trade block? I scour the league for teams I think would have a need for the player I'm trying to push and send specific offers to that GM whether he has contacted me or not, or whether or not he's even been too active. You never know.
I almost made a trade with Shadow using that approach once. We wound up not agreeing on terms, though.

You know how in GML you don't doing manual moves? I don't like spending a bunch of time concocting PMs and harassing people, most often who don't even have the courtesy of returning my PM.
But I don't think that's the main point. It's a human function and doesn't bother me (and I'm guessing Porter but I'm not sure). What bothers me is when I develop a creative solution to it and people bitch because it goes against the group. Just like when I try to move my picks, yet everyone else tries to do the exact same thing just in a different format.
This has to be the biggest bunch of sheep I've ever seen in my life which is astounding considering the intelligence here. Going against the grain and trying new ideas is a good thing even if they don't work.
