Once, which means they're still batting .500 over the past 6 years as the 1 seed and winning/not winning the World Series.

The two other years they didn't win the World Series they still made it to the ALCS, so that one year is the only time they were escorted out in round 1.

They're hardly the poster-child examples of OOTP cursing the 1 seed

I've beaten the Orioles twice as a wild card, once when I was under .500 and then when I won the world series. I think Baltimore has done very well as a #1 seed, if you also factor in his previous dynasty.

The under .500 one was the one in 2050 before any of his current WS wins which seemed to fuel the "curse", but then he went on to win the next two WS and then last season's.

The other time you beat him as a WC was with a 97 win team.

Also, I just noticed that Baltimore wasn't the #1 seed in 2054, the eventual World Series champs Yankees were.

So that makes Baltimore 3 for 5 as the 1 seed over the past 6 years and MSL as a whole 4 for the last 6 with the 1 seed winning the WS.
