If I draft a prospect, they either die or never fully develop, but if I trade for one, they do..

I'm the opposite. My first rounders almost always pan out(second rounders never do), but if I trade for someone, you might as well get the toe tag ready.

So not only do I lose fan interest, despite winning 97 games, I mysteriously lost 5 million in extensions that last sim despite not resigning anyone. I'm not understanding this financial and marketing bullshit at all.

He reached arbitration eligibility and the estimate is over $6 mil now. All season it was "potential arby" so the extension was assumed at the league minimum. You didn't lose the money. It's allocated to his potential arby amount, which may be higher or lower than the estimate.

I wish OOTP would let me use 2 divisions and have the 2 wild cards be the two non-division winners with the best record. That would be the most ideal setup for minimizing the chance of a team making it to the playoffs who doesn't have as good of a record as a team left out.

But 6.5 won't allow that and there's pretty much equal chance of that happening whether it's 3 divisions or 2 divisions with the 2nd place teams getting in. (We saw Philly get in with 71 wins last year while everyone in the NL West had a better record).

I realize you're likely just making an offhand "complaint" because it affected you and aren't being very serious about it, but I just wanted to rant again about 6.5's inability to allow the more ideal setup.

Also, any arby estimate takes money away from extensions for that season. If you sign them, it will be adjusted and more accurate. If you let them stay arby, it could fluctuate throughout the season.

If you had sent Pennebacker down for a sim, he wouldn't have reached arby and the extension money would have still been visible.
