    Question Merchandising Revenue?

How does this work, or what determines what here with each team? It looks like most teams run about 10-15 million on a season for total merchandising revenue, but there are teams with more or significantly more (or less). I am just wondering how this actually works? I can see why the Yankees have an insane amount (sorta), but randomly Detroit hit 29 million, Houston had only 7 million, Kansas City 7 million, San Francisco at 24 million... etc

Is it based on market size? Or..something else. I mean, by now, wouldn't have KC or Houston's market grown a bit?

    Or..what

I don't know to be honest. There's no logical reason for some of those numbers. I also don't understand why my fan loyalty dropped and TV contracts decreased after winning more games than last season. 2049 was the only year I won less than 90 games. My TV contracts were $49 mil that year, went up to $53 mil last year and now down to $47 mil.

That really doesn't make sense but I'm not surprised either. OM, do you have any idea with all these shenanigans?

Or tv revenue. Won the World Series and have had two straight 99+ win seasons. MVP of the league and it doesn't go up at all

I'm still trying to figure out the financial side of this game. Lowering max cash to 50 mil this year is literally the only time I've ever touched anything to do with finances since I took over.

Would this be a case of... wait for it... wait for it... Peanuts Envy?

Yeah, yeah, its a stretch as I included concessions in Merchandising.

My best answer is no. I concluded, after a few seasons, and through discussion with Molina a long time ago, that the broadcasting revenue, both tv revenues, and merchandising revenue were affected by attendance, and attendance is affected by winning. The problem is that OOTP seems to be at least one season behind the 8-ball. Maybe even 2 seasons in some cases. Truth be told, I used to tweak so much shit after the roll over (before I uploaded) that just wasn't right. I remember boosting revenue back to where it was if a winning team lost revenue, and they did more often than not.

I think we just have to chalk it up to using an early model of OOTP. Speaking of which, is anyone buying OOTP 14?

    Merchandising Revenue?

I wish it was dependent on attendance. If that was the case, I'd be rich from the past two seasons.

    Re: Merchandising Revenue?

So, I looked over the merchandising revenue in Trendy's league. Everyone made between 10-14 million except for one team, Philadelphia (20 mill).

    Re: Merchandising Revenue?

Here's the best I can offer because I don't want to mess with the financials too much more than I already have.

Effectively immediately, If you win the World Series I'll bump your market and fan loyalty up one notch and your tv contracts up an extra million. I'll bump the contracts up an added million if you're already at the top of the fan loyalty and markets (one for each one already maxed)

If you're in the WS and lose you just get the one million boosts in contracts.

    I've already bumped Houston's

The fan loyalty and team market bumps, however, are void if the game does it on its own.

    Re: Merchandising Revenue?

It doesn't seem like any of that has any bearing on the merchandising aspect. I'm just curious how that even works. I guess it's off to the OOTP message boards

    Re: Merchandising Revenue?

I have no idea how merchandising revenue works. I just figure that I can boost the revenue I can control and, at the end of the day, it's all the same thing.

My team only gets about 10 mil per year in merchandising but I can still afford a close to 100 mil payroll because of my tv revenue.

    Re: Merchandising Revenue?

I think everyone realistically should be between 10-14.
