2047/2048 player age 30 and under injury save

Each team will get 1 save of a prospect or a player 30 years or under. This only applies to a season-ending or career-ending injury. You only get 1 for 2047 and 2048 so use it wisely. Once it has been processed (at the end of the season) it cannot be changed. You can change your mind before that time should you get another injury to a better player, or decide against using it. This does not eliminate a season-ending injury, it only protects from talent and rating loss that may result from the injury. Career enders will be edited to season enders.

    Here is the format:

    team name
    position - player name
ratings at the time of injury
talent ratings at the time of injury

Post here if/when the situation should arise.

Re: 2047/2048 player age 30 and under injury save

Beginning this year you can also burn your save on an almost ready-to-ready under-25 prospect who dies for no reason whatsoever even if no injury is involved.

The criteria that must be met to use it in this instance are as follows

    1. You have not already used your designated save
    2. The player is at least close to MLB ready
    3. The player has not been saved under the same circumstance already
    4. If it is an offseason talent drop when the player isn't even playing criteria #2 is negated

However, choose this one wisely because in these instances the restoration will be immediate, as opposed to the end of the season (meaning you have zero opportunity to change your mind).

Doesn't have to be if he's an almost ready prospect who dies for no reason.

Not sure if Schilling quailifies based on that criteria, however (#2 on the list of criteria)

Yea 5-4-6 doesn't seem close to MLB ready.

I would rather burn it on Schilling than Valenzuela.

Re: 2047/2048 player age 30 and under injury save

But the problem is Schilling doesn't really qualify for a save as he's not close to MLB ready as per #2 of the criteria (and it wasn't an offseason loss)

Good prospects come and go in terms of development (perceived or otherwise) in real baseball so a 4th overall pick losing talent is realistic. It's when the player is about major league ready, typically doing very well, and dies for no reason and/or when they die off over the offseason when they're not even playing that the new provision is looking to alleviate.

Everybody gets a freebie for this last sim if you had an important player die.

Check your development page and if someone died from 9/8/48 to 9/28/48 I'll restore him if you let me know.

The only one I can see right away is Don Mattingly for the Yankees.
