Well, either way he's put 50 sim years into this league and is the 2nd most senior GM in the league behind only Shadow (who's the only one left from day 1). I think he's earned a little leeway even if he can be a bit cantankerous.

At the end of the day he didn't really want to "retire" just yet but was simply letting me know of his intent of doing so after a couple sim years while telling me he wouldn't be quite as active. The way he worded it led me to believe he was retiring now.

Either way, decisions have been made and I don't think badgering him publicly will help matters one way or another.

Saying lets see me play the game before I talk is totally pointless. The talk is about how you handled NOT playing the game. No one is talking about how you played the game. Besides, I started to play the game and then you threw a fit. Anyways, since you want to be all offended over a COMPLETELY RESPECTFUL post outside of an obvious joke, I know you/this situation aren't worth paying any attention to. If you don't get why other people got on your case, I am sorry, because it is fairly obvious to everyone. Just admit you had a SELFISH request since you are getting your way, and move on. It has already been settled.
