Silvio Periera has really stepped his game the heck up to really vault my rotation (I thought it be Newsom that would). Buckley has been a disappointment thus far. But I feel like I may have my Drysdale/Koufax 1-2 punch in place with Alexander and Periera in the rotation. The offense took a step in the right direction with Li getting hot with a promotion to the 2 hole vs LHP. Kelty has gone missing and Vandoren is carrying the middle of the freaking lineup of all people. My jigsaw puzzle of an outfield is making it work with the 5 different guys receiving playing time at various lineups.

Also Dodgers record vs some teams are actually a surprise to me:
Combined:
Big 3 NL Central: 13-10 (2-4 vs Cle keeps that from being more impressive but I will gladly take it)
vs Division Foes: 14-12 (2-5 vs Col keeps that from being more impressive)
Against the Champs: 7-5.
Can I win with this lowsy of an offense? We shall find out.

Pretty mediocre stats for a division leader... I always figure to be a champ contender, you got to be top 5 in either scoring or pitching... and ATL is not there yet..
Biggest issue on offense that I see if no production from the leadoff spot... I have nobody else that fits a leadoff role well (not going to put a 1 speed, 1 stealing ability guy there)... so either I get improvement, or I expect this to be a 1st round loss in the playoffs if I make it there...
Starting pitching is fine, but the pen is barely holding together... 1 guy with an ERA under 4, and he just lost talent...

9 game winning streak and the wild card leader now, and this is before my trade went through, but unfortunately my two best pitchers are injured... lol
Hammerin Hank traded contact for discipline. Good thing 7 contact hitters can (somewhat) survive in this league.

Putting Skaggs and Lillis on the trade block did wonders this season. I think I'll do the same with Mojica.
Turns out that Crockett can't pick it at CF. Hm. Who to try next..

I'm curious what happened to the St. Louis/Colorado trade. Are we suddenly allowed to trade draft picks for next year? We just going to brush that under the rug eh?
It's been handled. If the Commissioner feels the need to inform you, he will, otherwise it's a non issue.

As Zito said, it's been dealt with. The trade doesn't involve you so don't worry about it.

Wow. 18 users currently looking at the league. I'm glad to see the league so active. This was a quite the trade deadline. I almost feel bad for Molina having to set all the line-ups. (Almost cause he's still in 1st)
Gah....Damn you Texas. Will you ever lose?
