2036 Los Angeles Dodgers

This will fill upon my decision on who gets the few remaining starting spots:

Catcher:
#30 Patrick "Crazylegs" Secrist Is going to be given a chance with the new acquisitions to see what he can provide on offense.
2035: .268 ba, 7 HR, 38 RBIs
#32 Harry Montes Cheap backup that shouldnt be a black hole with the bat. Provide some power and range behind the plate.
2035: .261 ba, 17 HR, 70 RBI.

First Base:
#11 Pedro Garcia Probably by far the biggest risk on my team. Has been fairly consistant. I am hoping a change of scenary and a move from behind the plate gets him going into the next level of players.
2035: .312, 13 HR, 66 RBI.

Second Base:
#42 Ulysses Vandoren Another risky acquisition for the cost. Van Doren likely starts at 2nd base and is looked to uses his power to all fields.
2035: .269, 17 HR, 70 RBI.

Third Base:
#76 Jose Gonzalez Signed also during the last FA period, plays better for Dodger Stadium. Marquez will be given a chance to come off the bench for this season.
2035: .265, 3 HR, 29 RBI (Majors), .281, 21 HR, 91 RBI (AAA)

Shortstop:
#30 Javier Aleman A FA final round special, overpaid and far from a perfect fit for Dodger Stadium. But also has good range at SS. If he can get on 40% percent of the time will be a nice addition to an offense. He isnt a stolen base threat.
2035: .279, 3 HR, 47 RBI, 61 Runs

Left Field:
#53 Leo Blanco Here more for his defense, should play well within Chavez Ravine (I am guessing that it is still where the Dodgers play) with his speed and gap ability making OF work to keep him to only doubles.
2035: .265, 16 HR, 62 RBI, 74 SBs.

Center Field:
#77 David Smith In a Spring Training Smith was a non roster invitee signed at the very end of the free agent season, who the Dodgers looked at as a 4th OF. All he did was impress during Spring Training, this allows better defensive range with Blanco shifting from CF to LF with Navarro being traded due to the pressence of another non-roster invitee Hernandez taking over the role of 4th of with the ability to play all 3 positions.
2034: .293, 23 HR, 90 RBI.

Right Field:
#86 William Lambert All Star last year brought in to revitalize the offense. Probably get replaced late in games for a guy with better range Michael Losh could be that guy.
2035: .319, 22 HR, 100 RBI

Rotation:
#1 #18 Victor Faura #5 pick in the contraction draft comes into build upon a rotation that by stats looked to at least be slightly above average.
2035: 9-17, 3.98 ERA, 1.19 WHIP.

#2 #17 Roy Teter Had a 2nd solid year as a starting pitcher last year.
2035: 9-9, 3.74 ERA, 1.08 WHIP.

#3 #84 James Vega The Jamie Moyer of my group, can he continue to be a solid starter inspite of 4 stuff?
2035: 9-9, 3.63 ERA, 1.34 WHIP.

#4 #71 Brain Yoshimasa
Spent the past 2 seasons in Washington's rotation with decent results. I hope my belief of Con, Move, and GB can make up for lack luster stuff.
2035: 14-11, 3.97 ERA, 1.39 WHIP.

#5 #29 Sal Romo Won't walk many guys, will probably eat some innings, will probably get hit hard some. Giving him a chance to not face "aces".
2035: 6-18, 4.58 ERA, 1.23 WHIP

While there isnt a lot of ideal fits one thing is for sure Im not going to be wretchedly bad like what I inherited.

#32 Harry Montes Aforementioned Montes will be the backup catcher.
2035: .261 ba, 17 HR, 70 RBI.

#97 Michael Losh Here more for the glove than bat but should be able to provide some hits vs RHP.
2035: .288, 13 HR, 69 RBI. Gold Glove Winner in RF.

#65 Andres Marquez Forgotten in AAA by AI as they ran absolute garbage out there last season, gets a chance to earn a spot ast back up 3b. Could be used as a pinch runner, may not be the swiftest but smart enough to know when to go. First season in the majors since 2029!
2035 (AAA): .336, 15 HR, 85 RBI, 92 Runs, 22 SBs.

#64 Cosme Hernandez 4th outfielder who will probably be giving a shot to play all 3 positions a couple times every couple weeks.
2035: .284 ba, 9 HR, 60 RBI, 79 runs.

This unit is going to have to be micromanaged like a Tony LaRussa pen. Matchups, Matchups, Matchups. This unit did not get the elite top flight closer early because I underestimated the ability of some teams to spend even more money on them than I could. Got a lot of middle relief guys late. No Roles have been determined as of yet but here is how the pen looks at this moment (barring trade).

#69 William Tanaka Recently acquired by the Dodgers will be given the first shot at closing games out in LA. Best Case Scenario is a long term setup guy, just havent found the elite closer yet.
2035: 77 G, 4.20 ERA, 10-7 17 saves, 1.21 WHIP.
#36 Michael Swearengin He got worked like a horse last season, returns maybe as closer. I hope the added depth keeps him from needing to be used in another 100 games like the last two seasons (exactly 200 games).
2035: 113 G, 4.28 ERA, 4-5 4 saves, 1.31 WHIP.

#81 Richard Catalano Another guy signed during the last round of FA. High GB rate is the best thing about him. Had a great career can he milk one more year out of his arm? I'm going to find out.
2035: DNP 2034: 69 G, 2.36 ERA, 7-3 5 saves, 1.06 WHIP.

#26 James Davies Last years closer had a good year for the AI Dodgers, returns likely to a lesser roll. His WHIP seems to be too high to really expect a rerpeat of his 2035 season.
2035: 65 G, 2.88 ERA, 5-7 32 saves, 1.47 WHIP.

#20 Joshua Higbee FA who had a tough go of it in Oakland the past couple years. I am hoping being moved to a more pitcher friendly enviroment (and active ownership) can revitalize Higbee to be the guy he was circa 2032 for Anaheim.
2035: 45 G, 5.28 ERA, 0-8 27 Saves, 1.58 WHIP.

Piecemeal will be the way of my lineups this year with only a couple stable bats in the lineup vs both lefties and righties. I will start the season with the best hope of high OBP at the top of the order even if it means less SBs.

I am hoping that with someone in front of Blanco to get him the opportunity to get more RBIs and to make pitchers give him better pitches to hit with Garcia immediately behind him in the on deck circle. Thoughts?
