The 4th Starter is Set
And to the groans of almost any Twins fan, it is Kyle Lohse after Johan, Homerun, and Anti-Walk Serum.
Twins manager Ron Gardenhire confirmed yesterday that Kyle Lohse would open the season as his fourth starter behind Johan Santana, Brad Radke and Carlos Silva.
As anticipated. Lohse is a perfectly reasonable No. 4 for most teams. That he's probably the Twins' sixth-best starter doesn't really matter right now, as it would take some truly awful pitching for him to lose his job within the first couple of months. Scott Baker is the favorite to beat out Francisco Liriano for the fifth spot, with the loser expected to return to Triple-A. Feb. 26 - 3:18 am et

I can see why they did that, Liriano could use some more seasoning in AAA before joining the team. As Twins fans, you just have to hope (pray, whatever) that Gardenhire doesn't let Lohse go any longer than he needs to.

It's costing yourself wins for two months that will lose the division.

I would have sworn that Lohse would be gone this year.
