    Twins Twins @ Royals (08/30/05)

Twins beat the Royals last night 3-1 in 10 innings. Scott Baker pitched a damn
solid 7 innings only giving up one run and a couple of hits. Rincon got the win
    and Nathan got the save.

Tonight, we have game 2 in the series at Kauffman Field (or is it Kauffman
Stadium). The Twins are 5 games back in the Wildcard race as the Yanks
and Indians both won last night.

    Tonight's pitching matchup: Silva (8-6, 3.26 ERA) vs Lima (5-12, 6.43 ERA).
Silva has lasted at least 6 innings in every outting this season. Something
none of the other Twins starters can say.

Not a great outting tonight by Silva but thankfully the Twins' bats finally woke up again tonight. Silva gave up 2 HRs and 4 runs tonight in the Twins 7-4 victory over the Royals.

Morneau hit a 3 run-shot in the 6th inning. Overall we got 5 runs in that inning to take the lead in what was a tie game at that point. Silva gets the win and Nathan gets save #34 on the year. Nathan gave us a scare in the 9th giving up a leadoff walk followed by a hit to McEwing. Runners at the corners when Nathan regained his composure striking out the next two (one of them Hocking (hahahahaha)) and the game ended with a popup into the outfield.

    Twins win 7-4.
