8/23/05 White Sox vs Twins

Well the true test for the Twins season comes up for the next 3 games. Can the Twins win against the White Sox at home after sweeping them in Chicago?

They start out pretty darn good with Johan on the hill tonight against Garcia. Let's hope he continues his strong performance streak since the break and the Twins bats continue to hit the ball in the gap, over the fence, over the baggie - whereever! Just as long as they hit and score and hit and score.

Garcia was throwing a no hitter until the 8th inning when he gave up a solo shot Jacque Jones!


Twins lead 1-0 in the bottom of the 8th.

Wow the bats on both teams were shut down. Thanks to JJones we get the win and gain another game. To bad that the Indians keep winning.

I can't wait till we play the Indians. The twins are making things interesting.

Whenever you get one hit and win a game...you must be on some sort of roll. Everyone wrote off the Twins, but here they come charging back into contention.

Amazing. How it must feel to be Garcia right now. Pitching a complete game, 1-hitter and losing.


Great pitching matchup tonight (as I predicted). Zero offense of any sort, but that one hit by jones... nice. When I saw it was Jones that hit it, I was almost knocked of my chair. The guy didn't hit squat all weekend vs the M's and then comes out tonight and hits a game winning HR?! (and the only hit of the game for the Twins).




Nice. I guess that's one way of redeeming yourself.

Great, great win for the Twins. Happy to see Jacque hit that HR - he needed it now dealing with the death of an Uncle.

I sure hope Shannon Stewart is OK after that collision with the wall. Great catch tho!

Johan was amazing - he threw strikes when he needed them and didn't get rattled when he gave up those few hits. He had some great defense behind him too.
