Wow. Bottom of the 8th and the Twins now lead 6-0. Santana pitched 7 full innings giving up 7 hits, 2 walks 5k's and ZERO runs. Nice. Not great, but giving up zero runs is always very very nice.

Rincon is in now. Let's see if he can screw this up or keep the goose egg going.

Bernie missed tying the game by inches.

Unbelievable. Did I call it or did I call it?! Rincon totally craps his pants in the 8th and almost gave the game away.

Nice game by the Twins and finally put up some runs. I thought Rincon was going to blow it though.

Lynch, want to get on YIM?

was a good win. Morneau woke up tonight. We could of had a big 2nd inning in the third base coach did not send boon for the final out. Would of had 2 and 3rd with Hunter up.

But a good game we got the win chi suxo lost to KC. LOL

Great win by the Twins. One question, has Gardy replaced Newman with Ulger? Newman was in the dugout and Scott was at 3rd base coach position. Just a question. If so, sending Boone wasn't a very good call - he was out by a mile.

Good to see some hitting by the Twins. Johan pitched a gem - let's hope he can keep that going.

Big game today - go Joe Mays!

I have no idea. That seems to be a mighty strange move.

I heard a rumor the Twins would release Boone even though they just signed him...any truth?

I haven't been listening to the radio or reading the papers this week, but I still heard a slight rumor of that. I dunno. If they did, it'd be about the dumbest trade in ages wouldn't it?

Yeah, it would. But right now just about anything is an upgrade over Boone for the Twins. Not like he's the youngest guy in the world either.

If they let boone go it will be because they are after Soriano of the Rangers. If you go to the www.startribune.com and find sid hartmans column from yesterday he quotes the twins have been talking to the rangers to deal for Soriano. Hartman is good about deals, he has the inside knowledge to deal. We must pull it off.

    God I that happens

I read where they will be reviewing Boone's play after the Boston series to decide what to do with him. Of course that is well into the middle of the trade deadline too. Who knows but we need another bat! Any bat I don't care as long as it works!!!
