Twins and Josh Willingham Reach Agreement

Apparently, the Twins have agreed to sign Josh Willingham, pending a physical. The deal is reported to be 3/$21MM. While Willingham doesn't have Cuddyer's versatility, he does offer a power RH bat, which the team needs.

Streaky power hitter. He has his moments, should be interesting to see how consistent or inconsistent rather, he is for the Twins.

I like this move for the Twins because he is that power right handed bat the Twins crave. His numbers last year can be a bit misleading as he battled nagging injuries and was switching leagues but he still hit for power in that huge stadium in Oakland which was impressive. That the Twins signed him for $7 million is impressive as well.

Twins did the right thing here. We had to replace Kubel and Cuddyer with an outfielder. Maybe the Twins can still bring either Kubel or Cuddyer. Now we need to focus more on pitching.
