The ceremony lasted about 4 hours and was full of tributes from players, both present and past. Some of these men played with him, others saw him play as children, still others only met him after his playing days were over. A common theme among all of the tributes was the humanity that Harmon showed everyone. He truly treated everyone with respect.
His widow, Nita, gave a beautiful tribute to him, one that I'm not sure I could have given.
Harmon, you were one of my heros as a child and I will treasure the few minutes you had for me as an adult forever.
