Can the Twins really be this bad?

2011 Twins may just be the WORST team in baseball. By the record we surely are. What has gone wrong with the Twins? Maybe it's the Nicky Punto effect? He is no longer here and the Twins stink. We let loose a lot of players that I believe we should have kept. Our offense is the worst in the league and our pen is worse than the offense. I know we are just over a month into the season but come on Gardy, PLEASE do something to wake the boys up!!

With Nathan, Mauer and Morneau still not at full strength, how long will this continue? Without the big boys stepping up we are in for a long season.


Anyone ready for Football? Oh yeah the strike. What else is new here? It's all about the money and control.

The team has been very disappointing, to be sure. The players are frustrated, as evidenced by Pavano beating up the water cooler with a bat today. No one likes the way the team is playing right now. Here is a suggestion to the office -- Matt Tolbert to Rochester, Trevor Plouffe to the Twins, whomever out of the bullpen down, Kevin Slowey up and into the rotation, replacing Liriano.

I knew the Twins would struggle this season and wouldn't be as good as last year but damn! Liriano has been absolute shit and Mauer rushed things this spring and it is hurting the Twins. Nishioka going down didn't help either. Twins have a lot of problems but do have time to fix them.

Injuries, depth not as good, and eventually having a real lack of power arms in the staff (aside from Liriano, but as pointed out by Reefer, he's sucking) is going to catch up to you. I think it's more surprising that they're lookup way up at the.. Indians.

Well Francisco should be demoted too AAA. Maybe this would help him in. He can dominate in AAA, once done a call back to the big league team is called for. I don't think I have ever seen him pitch this bad.

Gardy I don't think is getting the job done as a coach..

Liriano is out of options, so he'd be gone if they try to send him down (unless they put him on the DL).

We are really this bad. Must be nice Mauer, you are sitting on you're butt collecting that fat paycheck! Is it really true that Mauer won't return till the beginning of June? Joe to me is a major piece to why the club is playing so bad. This has too be the worst Twins team I have ever seen.

Twins lose 3-0 today at home vs the M's. With the loss we lost the series as well 2-1. We had runners on base today but could not get the hit to drive them in. Looks like we are in for along season.

It would be nice to see some extra base hits once in a while with runners on. No grand slam homers yet this year. Its almost June and Morneau has 2 homers. Young has 1 and Mauer hasn't hit one yet. Maybe getting Thome back will help a bit?
