    Twins Slowey to the DL

The Twins placed right-hander Kevin Slowey on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder strain Saturday and recalled right-hander Alex Burnett from Triple-A Rochester to take his place on the active roster.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire initially said Slowey felt soreness in his right bicep while warming up before his appearance against the Yankees on Monday. But Slowey pitched a scoreless inning despite the soreness and was only supposed to be held out a few days before the club ultimately opted to place him on the disabled list.

There goes that trade value. If he were healthy, I bet the Twins could have gotten a nice piece for him

That's too bad, he was off to a great start.

Slowey back to the DL with an abdominal strain. Not sure who comes up. Hoey is a possibility.

Makes no difference. Once Slowey returns he is being demoted to AAA. He will be traded as well once healthy.

Agreed. His days with the Twins are likely over. Maybe trade him to the A's for Fuentes?

I think we could get something a little better than Fuentes.

A's have no use for Slowey.

Neither do the Twins. The A's really have no use for Fuentes, either.
