Well let the 2nd half of the season begin!!

Twins take on the Angels at the Dome for the next 4 games. Tonight's match-up is Lohse vs. Washburn. It is Kyle's first start this season against the Angels, let's hope it's a whole new ballgame for him this 2nd half.

And we should get to see the once again new and improved infield for the Twins with Brett Boone at 2nd base. Change is usually a good thing - let's hope this change brings only good things for Brett (and the Twins!!).

The majority of the team has had three days to rest and reflect on the first half and where they stand. We are a 2nd half team and the season doesn't get any easier. We've got a lot of games against several very good teams. We need to take advantage of the runners on base more this 2nd half and win more of those 1 run games.

Thanks, for theupdate. Diamondgirl. My question is where will they bat Boone in the lineup? I do think this team will be much better. My only concern was why they sent Baker down to AAA. Mays or Lohse should have gone down. Here is the lineup I think Gardy will use.

I wont go into lineup yet to who will bat where. I do see Boone anywhere from 3rd to 6th hitting in the lineup. I hope he comes out strong tonight, I look forward to the game tonight.

Lohse as usual gets hit hard for 1 inning and we cant score runs.

We lose 3-2 and chicago wins 1-0. 10 games out. :banghead

Boone o-4 in twins debut left 4 men on base. Hope it was just jitters for him.

I thought we were on the right track when Jacque hit that single with the bases loaded and two outs. I thought for sure the tide had changed and we were going to win.

I'm very disappointed with Lohse. As soon as we get those runs he gives them right back plus one. Did he just relax too much with a lead? I don't know but something needs to be done with the pitching.

Boone was asked by Gardy where he wanted to hit knowing all along he (Gardy) wanted to put him in the 3 hole. Of course Boone gave the right answer - I think he was just way too nervous and excited - he popped everything up a sure sign he was trying too hard.

First game back after 3 days off - I'll don't feel too badly about the loss. But let's get it right tonight.

What is needed is a 6 game winning streak. We need to get on a good roll. The time would be to start now, we need to close the gap up with the whity suxs. God they are due for a long losing streak.

C'mon, can't you guys help the A's out? We just beat Texas to move 1.5 games behind them, but we're still 7.5 behind the Angels

Well another loss 3-2. Radke pitched well. complete game but once again as usual no run support. Brett boon 0-9 in 2 games 7 baseruners left in scoring position. 11 games out now!! The season is almost over. We can't continue to lose this close games.. Damn hitters need to start producing. I am so frustrated .

Why can't we do better? This team needs to play 100% better ball.
