now we don't have a ss or a guy that can almost play anywhere in Harris.

What is it with the Twins and pitching? We need hitters here. There are top free agents here to go after and as usual we do NOTHING! We have money to spend and we do nothing to make the team better. New park equals more money to spend and the Twins rather cut payroll than add it.

The Twins have Casilla to play SS if they get the Nishi. I agree its a terrible trade but the Twins aren't close to being done.

Casilla is not that good. There were reason he was sent to AAA and sat on the bench. He does not play at 1110% like Gardy expects. If we can't sign Nishi this deal was a major mistake.

I don't think they would have done this trade if they aren't extremely confident that Nishi will sign.

Look at the startribune web site. They think the deal was all about the team saving around 8 million dollars. Harris I really care little about but, Hardy was a major loss.

I expect the Twins to make a few more moves this winter. They have a few $$$ to spend and a shopping list to buy. They are pretty well set at a few positions -- Catcher, 1B, 3B, OF, SP 2-5, Closer (Capps will do nicely until Nathan is ready), and a couple of bench players. They need to be certain of their SS, 2B, and a couple of pitchers.
