Twins Glad to be back home series vs. Toronto(9/30-10/3)

    Pitching Match-Ups
    Toronto: Hill vs. Minnesota:Liriano
    Toronto:Romero vs. Minnesota: Pavano
    Toronto: Marcum vs. Minnesota: Duensing
    Toronto: Rzepczynski vs. Minnesota: Blackburn

The Twins are back at Target Field and that can only help there pusdh to the best record in the American league. Pitching match-ups look pretty even though. I am hoping for at least 3 wins.

The Jays have a good hitting team and enough pitching to make the series interesting. I hope to see the Twins win at least 3 of the 4. Gardy's rant seemed to wake them up a bit and Mauer and Thome will be back in some capacity.

Joe Mauer is to DH tonight. It will be great to get him back in the lineup.

11-2 Bluejays. The Twins have had so many chances to get back the all out lead in the American , but they have done nothing but play like shit. This type of play means only out in the 1st round of the playoffs. On a side note Justin Morneau says he will not play in the 1st round and if the Twins make it to the American League Championship Series he will be back.

The Twins seem destined to play the Yankees in the first series of the playoffs. They will have home-field advantage, and hopefully that will help them.
It looked like the Twins pitchers weren't sure what to do tonight and the Jays were playing for pride.

The Twins flat out stink right now. Going into the playoffs playing this bad, will be a three game sweep by whomever we play. We right now are playing what I think is the worst baseball we have played all season. To me this is a terrible time for this to happen. We win the division then we are playing like they just don't care. Gardy's yelling at the boys has done nothing to turn this team around.

I would bet by that Morneau will not be back at all this season. He is starting his spring training all over again. As of Sept 30th I believe. That being said don't you think he would need roughly two or three weeks to be ready. Majors league pitchers would eat him up at the plate. To be honest I think he may wait til next year to get back into baseball again.

Delmon Young stays hot and goes deep for his 21st HR to give the Twins a 1-0 lead.

2-2 in the 8th. Carl Pavano pitched great through 7 innings. Jesse Crain is in now and he better not blow this game.

1st and 2nd with no outs for the Jays.

2 outs runners on 1st and 3rd. Can Jesse get out of this mess?

Nope, Buck singles to left and scores Wells. 3-2 Jays.

****ing Encarnacion hits a 3 run HR to make it 6-2. This is bullshit.

Pavano pitched a very good game tonight. The hitters seem to be sleeping right now, but the Rays and Yankees aren't playing much better. The Rays were shut out by Bruce Chen (of all people -- his first career shutout).
