Twins sweep the Sox in Commisky and now lead the division by 9 games. Magic number is 8. Final score tonight was 8-5. Pavano got his 17th win and Capps got his 13th save.
The Twins now have the 2nd best record in the bigs and trail the Rays by half a game for the best record in baseball.
By the way, Toby -- I remember the Twins first season in 1961. I'm old.

I remember both 87 and 91. I was 16 years old in 1987. Anyways this was a huge sweep of the Soxs. I do think with who we have left to play, we have a great chance at the best record in the league. Mauer having an off year with the power and Young with a breakout season. He has finally lived up to the number 1 pick.

    Magic # is 8.

This was a huge series for both teams. Twins pretty much put the nail in the coffin on the Sox, and this is a huge confidence booster for the club. BTW, Jerry Crawford has to be the most inconsistent home plate umpire on the planet. He's ****ing horrible.
