Twins head off to visit the Tribe

Capps gets the job done tonight. The Twins now have a 6 game lead and have a magic number of 15.

Big win for the Twins as the gain a game on the Whitesox. Great pitching performance by Blackburn. Let's take 2 with a win tomorrow.

Blacky pitched very well. Brought a no-hitter into the 6th inning. I think he's here to stay. Nice work by Thome telling his old(est) team to suck it.

A good start to todays game with a 5 run 1st inning. The Twins lead 5-2 in the 6th.

Great play by O'Dawg to get Slowey out of the 5th inning. As Bert said, he just knew who was running -- Travis Hafner.
Kubel leads off the 6th with a double and Cuddyer drives him in with a single up the middle. 6-2 now.

And even better the Whitesucks are losing 6-2.

Slowey pitched pretty well, going 5 innings, allowing 2 unearned runs. The Twins bats have done OK today, giving him 6 runs of support. Perkins pitched a good 6th and is throwing pretty well in the 7th.

A tip of the cap to Justin Masterson of the Indians. He pitched 7 innings, allowing 3 runs (1 earned). He saved a few arms out of the bullpen. Perkins pitched a couple of solid innings for the Twins. Mijares is in the game now.

Good win to take two from the Indians. Let's hope the Royals can hold off the Whitesox.

The O-Dawg made an outstanding play, as did Casilla did later on in the game at SS. Good win for the Twins, and it's really nice that the Royals are taking care of business as well.
