    Thumbs Up Roster Moves

The Twins moved Clay Condrey from the 15-day DL to the 60-day DL, opening up a spot on the 40-man roster. They filled that spot with Anthony Slama, who was called up following last night's game. Alex Burnett was optioned to Rochester.
This is a very good move, IMO. Slama has been pitching very well in the IL and is ready to see what he can do in the bigs. Hopefully, he'll be available for tonight's game.

Slama has done well in AAA. This was the right move for the Twins and the pen. We need to trade for pitching. Baker and Blackburn need to be demoted. Only pitchers I trust are Pavano, Liriano and Slowey.

Pitching does need some sort of kick start. Pav won't last forever like this, and Liriano isn't as consistent as he could be. Slowey's been hit and miss as well. Hopefully this Slama kid does well for us.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
