Rangers Rangers come for a Visit

Tonight, the Rangers and Twins play their first of 2 series at Target Field.
Colby Lewis goes for the Rangers and Kevin Slowey for the Twins.

Mauer drove in the game's 1st run on a liner up the middle, following a "hustle" double by Hudson.

Nice to see them win a close one last night, and they blew it open today winning 8-3. Hopefully they can pull off the sweep tomorrow.

That would be nice. Pavano pitched pretty well today and Hudson looks like he is hitting better.
On another note, JJ Hardy made the 1st error of the season for a Twins' player on the left side of the infield. No errors at either SS or 3B until May 29? Wow.

I read the team only has like 10 or 11 errors total on the season.

The Twins finally sweep a series with a 6-3 win tonight. Baker pitched 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits and 3 walks. He struck out 4. Burnett, Mijares, Guerrier and Rauch finished off a good evening for the Twins. Unfortunately, the last play of the game could prove costly. Denard Span and Orlando Hudson collided with Span making the catch on a pop-fly off the bat of Vladdy. Span appears to be OK, but Hudson was taken in for xrays on his left arm and wrist. The team won't know the results until tomorrow, but I wouldn't expect to see O-Dawg in the lineup tomorrow in Seattle.
