Solid game all around. Joe needs to start hitting the ball. How about you earn the contract.

looks like it was kind of an ugly win today, but a win is a win.
By the way, Mauer was 2/4 with 2 RBI today. He leads the team in RBI with 10.

Twins were up 5-2 at one point in the game. Nick looked terrible on the mound. He gave up 5 runs in 6 innings pitched. Two of the runs were homeruns to Ankiel. Pen look nasty again.

Jose Mijares is on the dl with vision issues. Neschek will be next with a finger issue to his pitching hand. Who will they call up?

Alberto Callaspo seemed to have the Twins' pitchers' numbers today -- 2 3-run homers in a 10-5 win for the Royals. The Twins have won 4 consecutive series to open the season.

On a positive note, Ron Mahay pitched 2 scoreless innings today and Alex Burnett pitched 2.2 scoreless innings (he threw 16 balls and 22 strikes). Also, Denard Span was 2/5 and Mauer was 3/4.
