I was happy to see the Twins hit three homers. Pitching did enough to keep the twins ahead. I would love to see Hardy have a break out year.

Jim Thome is in the lineup tonight. Kubel gets the night off. Tomorrow, Kubel might get left and Young will get the night off.

Is it because Kubel has been terrible in his career against Ervin Santana (2 hits in 17 at-bats I think?) or just a chance to get Thome in? Lefties destroyed Ervin Santana all last year, so maybe Delmon could have sat.

I think its just because Gardy wants to keep Thome sharp. A player can take all the BP he wants, but it isn't like game action.
After 5 innings, the Twins are leading 4-0 with Morneau and Hardy hitting homers and Punto tripling to right center. Pavano is settling in very nicely. Perfect 4th and 5th innings.

Twins win three of four games in LA. Tonight the Twins won 10-1. Young, Harris and Thome homer. Slowey and the pen did there job tonight. Nice start to the season!

Span is in an early season slump. We need our leadoff hitter to produce. .063 batting average is not good. I wonder if the game he hit his mom with the foul ball is still haunting him?

Span's eye doesn't seem as good. He looked lost on Monday, but better over the last couple of games. It'll be nice to see him come around.
