    Not a bad thought, but a gamble as he got hit pretty good in the AL last season. Smoltz did look pretty good with his stuff, in my opinion, though late last season and for one inning... could maybe still bring it.

    Smoltz could be a good pick up, but he might be a bit pricey. He wants to start again, though.

    If you looked at the last 4 seasons of Mariano Rivera and Joe Nathan. They are really close when you look at the numbers. This is a huge blow to the Twins. It would be really hard to replace.

    As reported, surgery was done today. Ligament was removed from his left wrist and placed in his right elbow.
