    Twins Twins in Texas

    Game 1: Perkins v. Padilla

Texas started off the scoring early on, with Hamilton hitting a 2 run shot in the bottom of the first. I thought it was foul.

The Twins come right back, Carlos Go-Go-Gomez with a 2 RBI triple scoring Joe "Clean Cut" Crede and Brendan Harris.

In the 3rd, the three lefties in succession proved Texas' pitching was no match for their bats, as Kubel blasted a 3 run home run, scoring All Stars Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau. He's Canadian, eh.

Texas scores a run in the 5th, and that was the end of it. Twins win.

Team LOB for Texas was 7, while the Twins hit into 4 DP.

Sounds like it was a pretty good game. Perkins didn't have his best game, but the pen did a nice job. Keppel pitched 2 good innings, Mijares and Guerrier shared an inning and Nathan did hit usual job.
It appears that the pen is OK coming out of the break.

Baker looked good tonight -- 8 IP, 6 hits, 2 walks, 8 K's 1 home run allowed (unfortunately). Twins win 4-1, Baker is now 8-7. Nathan picks up another save, #25.
I hope this is a sign of things to come. Casilla was 1/5 with a run scored, Morneau was 2/4 with a run scored and an RBI. Cuddyer was 2/4 with a homer, a double, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.
Nelson Cruz accounted for the Rangers' run with a well-hit homer to right center (the jet-stream).
