    Twins Casilla Sent Down

Twins optioned infielder Alexi Casilla to Triple-A Rochester.
Casilla hit just .167 in 24 games with the Twins. He got the boot in favor of Matt Tolbert, who boasts a better all-around offensive game.
Casilla had a decent year but just couldn't get it together this year. He needs to learn other positions so he can be some form of utiity player for the Twins.

The almighty .167 utility player. They're in high demand.

I think Casilla could be the best 2B the Twins have, he just needs to work on his hitting approach. Last night, he had a very good chance to drive in a run and picked a pitch, high and outside, to swing at. He hit a weak pop-fly to short right and the Twins failed to score. He needs to get a pitch to drive and hit it.
Looks like Tolbert and Harris will split time at 2B for a while.

Damn, he's on my fantasy team.

I agree with you though Catman...I was not impressed by his last at bat. He was great last year, but has had a terrible start this season. Let's see what Tolbert can do for us.
