Seattle pitcher Jakbkakasasakaskassusass makes his MLB debut, with a 1-2-3 inning.

Jakabauskas is a good pitcher and could help the pen. But we still have problems there. Silva imploded yet again. I should be used to his meltdowns by now.

[Porter]

Breslow gets out of a jam.

Twins stay up.

Breslow comes in to pitch the 7th, does a decent job, striking out Griffey to end the inning.

Jabbawoceez gives up a double to Cuddy, and an intentional walk to Justin, but picks Cuddy off at 2nd.

[Porter]

Its Jabasuskas. Too bad he couldn't come in earlier. ugh.

I was close.


Crain comes in and pitches a scoreless 8th.

[Porter]

These past 2 games have been frustrating. To say the least.

[henks]

I suppose especially after how last night's game turned out. Your bullpen has been doing really well tonight...Silva just couldn't keep his stuff together.

Here we go, top of the 9th and one of the premier closers in the league, Joe Nathan on to pitch.

Twins win 6-5, Nathan gets his first save of the year.

Justin Morneau, Denard Span have killed the M's in this series.

Well, Morneau finally broke out tonight. His first hit of the year was the 2 run homer. Span has been doing very well.

I don't know about "killing" the Mariners, but Span and Morneau have done OK. Looks like Span will get a lot of time in right and left.
Not a bad way to start the season.

By the way, Jabasuskas is supposed to be able to get lefties out. He will be worth watching, I think.

He showed a lot of poise on the mound. That's encouraging.
