Twins/Kubel Agree on a deal

Good move to sign one of our own. But how about we start looking outside the organization and sign a free agent. Adam Dunn would be someone I would like us to look at. If not sign Lyons for the pen!

Dunn is a lefty. Twins don't need another lefty in that lineup. Maybe trade for Nady for a season?

I saw that they were close to getting this deal done. Glad that they did.


Also saw a rumor that, as spring inches closer, Twins might be interested in Crede.

If Crede can show that his back is OK, I'd like to see him in a Twins' uniform. He'd likely have a bit of a grudge against the White Sox, so he'd play harder against them.
Jason Kubel is coming into his own. I hope to see as much improvement this season as we saw last year. If so, the Twins' DH will be just fine.

This signing leaves only Matt Guerrier in arbitration. He wants $1.75M, the Twins have offered $1.2M. Looks like his salary will be somewhere in the $1.4M range.
