    This is completely understandable though. Let Mauer recover from his minor surgery and have another stellar year. We don't want him rushing to be ready for the WBC and then not be 100% when the season starts.

    I have no problem with Joe Nathan representing Team USA. Also, I'm happy to see Mauer decide to pass on the tourney.
