Twins What to do about the pen

    Crain in his last 10 appearances: He's 1-1 with a 5.19 ERA, 8.2 IP, 7 H, 3 BB, 5 K's
    Guerrier in last 10 appearances: 0-2 with a 15.12 ERA, 8.1 IP, 18 H, 14 ER, 6 BB, 6 K's
    Boof in last 10 appearances: 0-0, 5.30 ERA, 18.2 IP, 21 H, 11 ER, 7 BB, 17 K's

What do we do? The Twins have been known for a solid bullpen, and with Neshek hurt in the beginning of the year definitely hurt us, but some of these numbers are just embarrassing.

But then there's Breslow, who's been a nice surprise.

We simply CANNOT be competitive in the post season with the bullpen we have now. Period.

What do you suggest they do?

Bobby Korecky and Phillip Humber could come up in September. I expect to see Kevin Mulvey added to the 40-man roster, along with Rickey Barrett. All could come up and give the team some innings in September. With a couple of players on the DL, these guys could be added to the playoff roster, if the team makes it that far.

They also traded for Guardado by getting rid of a hamburger.

    Thread to follow.

Picking up "everyday Eddie" allows the team to have another option for saves if Nathan isn't available. It gives the team a reliable (hopefully) 8th inning arm, and another guy to pitch to hitters like Ibanez or Thome.
I guess I know what is happening with one of the empty spots on the 40-man roster now.
