We just got home from seeing most of the Beloit Snappers/Cedar Rapids Kernels game this afternoon. Ben Revere is everything you've read about him. He is fast, has a very good eye at the plate and good bat control. On defense, he makes the plays that are needed to be a CF.
Mike McCardell looks like another good young arm in the system. If he develops a bit more control of his fastball, he could be a very good starter. He has a decent change up and an outstanding curve that breaks about a foot. I'd like to see him learn to throw a slider to go along with the other pitches, just to keep hitters off-balance.
