Great game pitched by Perkins. 8 innings pitched, 4 walks and 4 k's.. More important ZERO earned runs!

Payback is sweet! Perkins and Everett have to be the two stars of the game.

    Re: Twins/Yankees

The 3rd strike to A'Rod was likely 3 inches inside, but the umpire called it on him.
Perkins looked very good tonight. He controlled the strike-zone very well.
Sir Sidney did a very good job for the Yankees, but he missed with a couple of pitches -- Everett's homer was not a bad pitch, but he did get it up a bit. Span's double was mid-thigh and in the middle of the plate. Span did a great job of putting a bat on it and didn't try to do too much with it.
A very good fundamental game for the Twins results in a win for the team.

    Re: Twins/Yankees

Just for kicks, the Twins signed Bobby Kielty to a minor-league contract today. He could come in handy down the stretch.
One more comment on tonight's game -- Perkins threw 70 of his 107 pitches for strikes, allowing 4 hits and 3 walks. He got 15 ground-outs and 5 fly-outs along with his 4 K's.
This is his best outing as a major league pitcher, by far.

I just don't see where we will use him. Maybe a day off for the starters and Bobby gets to play in the outfield?
