Twins Twins continue road trip to KC

After only taking 1 of 3 games in Seattle, the Twinkies head to KC to take on the Royals. While they only have posted a 24-30 road record this year, the Twins have owned the Royals in KC, winning 5 of 6 at Kauffman Stadium.

This is a big series. Even if we take 2 of 3, that will keep us right up there, if not take the lead again. Hopefully the bullpen can get past that little mess up in Seattle, and take it to this divisional opponent.

On the bump tonight (8-8-08) is Kevin Slowey (7-8, 4.21 ERA) going against Kyle Davies (5-2, 4.41).

Little mess??? That was a HUGE mess! If Gardy had not fixed the issue were in for a long rest of the season.

I do thing we will own the Royals.

Nice game for the Twins. A couple of my residents were watching the game and told me Slowey looked pretty impressive out there. A bit hittable, but his stuff was good.
The pen did their jobs pretty well, lining up against the Royals properly. Nathan seems to have a magic wand at times, doesn't he?

On the bump tonight: Francisco Liriano (1-3, 7.16 ERA) vs. Zack Greinke (9-7, 3.93).

Hopefully it will be another good showing by Liriano.
