Twins win 7-3 with another decent showing by Liriano.
Fransisco Liriano has done pretty much what he was expected to do earlier this season. It was just a matter of time before he replaced Livan in the rotation. Now its time to find another reliever to replace Bass.
White sox lost, so the Twins slide up into 1st with a .5 game lead.
With Contreras done for the season, the Sox are in trouble. They were counting on him to solidify their rotation behind Buehrle, Danks and Floyd.
Guerrier didn't have his best stuff today, unfortunately. Will Crain pull a "Reyes" today?
I guess not. Nick Punto struck out, as did Adam Everett. Soria's line sofar is impressive. 9 pitches, 7 strikes, 2 K's.
Jesse has his good stuff today. 13 pitches, 12 strikes, with the ball being a "waste" pitch. Hope the Twins can do something in the 10th.
The white sox won, so as of this moment we're tied at the top of the division.
Is Craig Breslow a 3 inning pitcher? Today he tried to be, or at least was asked to be one. Unfortunately, he didn't have the stuff to get Tony Pena, Jr. out in the 12th. Tough loss, considering a couple of runs shouldn't have scored because of errors.
Time to go home to take on the Yankees and wish the Royals the best against the White Sox.
now we're back to being 1/2 game back.
Errors hurt today or should I say throwing errors. When your winning 4-2 in the eight inning we should win the game, today this did not happen. Hitting wise it looked like the A ball club was hitting today.
Up next at the Dome, a three game series against the Evil Empire. or should I say the highest payroll team in baseball.
