Baseball Tonight just said that Span clearly did not attempt to bunt the ball that hit him. It was a blown call for the umpires.

Does that surprise you? Anyways this was a huge series for us, only a .5 games out of first. Indians are in town for a three game series starting tonight at the dome. this series could put us in first place.

    Lets go Twins!

Is Casilla done for the year? I heard two different stories on his injury. One said done and the other was rehab.

Before meeting with the hand specialist, Casilla thought he would be done for the season but after this meeting, he is now given another option. His torn ligament isn't as severe as Tolbert's who had to undergo surgery to repair. The first thing to address to Alexi's injury is to put him on splint that immobilizes his thumb for a week and see if his ligament has healed on its own. If not, surgery would be a better way to go, that means he is basically done this year.

If it heals on its own, great, there are some possibilities that he could return to the lineup before season's end.

Everett is a bad choice to be starting every day! I hope Casilla can return, he was having a good season.
