It would be nice to see the Twins win all 3, but 2 of 3 would be fine. Perkins has been pitching well lately, as has Baker. Not sure if this will be Hernandez' last start or not. Liriano would be ready to jump in the next turn through.

If Hernandez gets lit up (good chance) he's toast.

The Twins had its story of how they start off the 2nd half hot. I hope they can keep it up this time.

Twins win 6-0. Delmon Young goes 4-4 with an RBI and a SB.

Perkins pitched 6 shut out innings.

    Josh Hamilton went 0-fer.

Glen Perkins did a very good job picking on the right location. That was the big reason why the Rangers' offense was shut down tonight. Ian Kinsler and Josh Hamilton couldn't find the right place to hit. Kudos to Perkins and I hope he can keep doing that till to the end.

The defense did its part of job as well. The infielders certainly did very good job, Casilla and Morneau great defense out on the right side of field. I remembered when Justin first came into the Majors, I went like lordy lord, he has power but he didn't have great defense like Doug Mientkiewicz. Several years later, he proved me wrong by displaying some great defensive plays.

Later into the game, the offense start their bashing. Young started off on the right hand, going 4 for 4. Casilla still contributing, so were Harris and Buscher. Joe Mauer and Morneau did their own jobs as usual.

Carlos Gomez looked stupid tonight at the plate. Sad.

I'd like to see Gomez get another couple of days off so he can clear his head again. He still looks a bit confused at the plate. If he does get a day or 2 off, Span moves to center and both Kubel and Young play defense. Maybe Monroe gets a shot?
This was a great way to start the 2nd half of the season. Perkins looked good, although he was a bit wild. He did, however, keep the Rangers off-balance.

Great game fellas. I was temted to throw my money on the Twinkies, but I liked the Tigers' line better as they were the underdog. Good take though. I can't believe you shut down this great offense.

There is a change for tomorrow's game. No, they didn't remove Livan from the rotation

Harrison will pitch instead of Hurley. Another young pitcher for Texas.
