Twins Twins @ Motor City for 4 game series

Probable Pitchers for the upcoming Tigers series:

7/10- Kevin Slowey (6-6) vs Kenny Rogers (6-6)
7/11- Glen Perkins (5-2) vs Armando Galarraga (7-2)
7/12- Scott Baker (5-2) vs Nate Robertson (6-7)
7/13- Nick Blackburn (7-4) vs Justin Verlander (6-9)

The Twins will have less than 24 hours to their next game. This series will be the last before the All-Star break.

At least Livan won't be starting.

Haha, yeah, for another week. We definitely need a break from him.

    Ramon Ortiz in the making?

If Liriano keeps doing well in the Minors, it's possible the twins trade Livan away to a pitching starved team....only because no one in their right mind would want him...it would be a case of them needing him.

The Twins really need to show up in this series and at least split the series with the on coming Tigers.

I have a hunch Livan will be in the bullpen and Bass will be somewhere else, and very soon.
Verlander and Galarraga are both pitching pretty well. Rogers is an old pro that knows how to win games and Robertson has been a bit disappointing this season, but always shows up against the Twins.

The Cardinals need pitching. Mudler went out of the game after pitching to 3 hitters. I said all along it's time to bring back Liriano. He has put in enough work and the Twins should know where Liriano is and how he is doing.

Now to the series Twins must win 3 of 4 games. White Soxs need to lose there series as well. If this happens will we go out and trade for someone? Or will Polad screw the team over again and cut payroll again?!!

While we're on the topic about the pitching, the bullpen is looking for one more strong arm to "complete" the bullpen's need. Jesse Crain's not the man, nor is Matt Guerrier.

According to Star Trib, Philip Humber has been moved to the bullpen in Rochester. Still, there is no one that the Twins wanted to move into their 'pen.

Twins took an early lead 2-1 then eventually got behind the Tigers 6-2. Slowey's done for the day.

Top 5th. Nick Punto's lack of baserunning mentality is getting into my nerves really badly.

Wow, Morneau should be credited with a HR instead of a double. The ball was bounced off the yellow line in the center.

Whatever, it does not matter, anyway. Young drove him home. 6-4, Detroit.

Just another case where instant replay would have gotten the call correctly. It can't come soon enough.

    Top 9th

    Nick Punto singled
Denard Span single RBI, thanks to fielding error by Joyce, Span is standing on 3rd. Possible game tying runner here.

    Joe Mauer replacing Gomez.

It's getting too close.... Unless things change around in favor of the Twins.
