Thread: Next up series in Boston!

Re: Next up series in Boston!

Let them win. Very competitive series but Boston deserved more to win this series than the Twins do. I guess it's like a revenge when we whooped them at the dome earlier this year. Now it's their turn.

I'd hate to be a downer, but like I've always been thinking, the Twins will fall back into reality any time of the season. Maybe it's the time.

The Twins pitching is good with the exception of todays pitcher. They do have a good future ahead of them with there starting pitching. The Twins IMO need a little more offensive help. Shortstop and even though they have this youngster Buscher at 3rd I think they need to upgrade there as well. They are a good team though.

Yeah, but we're a very young team. We don't have a lot of power (and patience in some players). They are no favorite to win the AL Central, but they surely have surpassed many people's expectations, including mine, so that's very good.

The Twins are a few keys roster moves away, I guess. Time is factor as well.

Back to the game, bases loaded for the Twins. Surprisingly.

damn the Twins bases loaded and cant f'n score! Pathetic.. We deserve to lose! Its not to a better team either.

game one we should have won.
game two were ahead and the pen blows it.
Todays game we let our worst sp start and he get owned like he always does. Kubel's error hurt us though!

The difference between the Redsox and the Twins is clutch experience hitting. The Redsox have it and the Twins don't have much of it at all. Plus the Redsox play fantastic and somehow they play with more clutch hitting at home than on the road.

The Twins has poor road record with Boston's success at home really make sense. But c'mon, the Twins should have taken one home, but again they failed again and again.

Looks like the Red Sox will score again.

Now it is 8-5. Gardy has been thrown out. I agree the Twins really blew yesterdays game.

12-5, Boston. Good series, Bon Bon. Looking forward to play against you again later.

    Game's unofficially over.

The brooms are sweeping. 13-5 as the Redsox blow it open.

Is the Twins bullpen not to good this season?

I really hope the Twins don't collapse. It would be very interesting if they stay in the hunt for the Central division. The team that scares me there is Detroit though.

Re: Next up series in Boston!

Losing Pat Neshek for season really hurt the bullpen. He was like the core for the 'pen (other than Nathan), you know? Crain was coming off from his injury and he pitched better, much better than last season. Guerrier is not too bad, but I think he could have done better. Not one player will magically make the bullpen much better.

I wouldn't say their bullpen stunk, but they have had their shares of struggles.

Seems like it has been riddled with some key injuries like Crain and Neshek
