Santana wanted out of Minnesota because last season about this time, we were close to 1st place, Santana went into the office and found out Castillo was traded for not much and then was told were not going to add anyone! Polad only cuts payroll. When we move ruffly 25 to 30 million in payroll and do NOTHING things went south in a hurry standings wise. Santana for sure was not at his best after what happened..

I was pissed when I found out about Castillo's trade. It was totally unexpected, but hello, the Twins weren't having a huge firesale like the Marlins recently. Santana obviously wanted out because he felt that the front office was kinda tearing the team nucleus away. Torii could have said so himself, he would preferred the old Twins team from the early 00s like Koskie, Mientkiewicz, AJ, Guzzy, Lawton, JJ, and such.

I kinda of knew we wouldn't hold into Johan for too long. That is a worthy trade to be meant for.
