Twins Cuddy to DL, Denard Span called up

Looks like Cuddy's finger is bad enough for him to hit the DL for 15 days. Span's stats in AAA Rochester are pretty stellar so hopefully he'll give us some productive at-bats while Cuddyer is healing up.

I hope Span plays the way he did earlier in the season when he filled in for Cuddy. It will be really tough to send him back to AAA if he performs well.
This is a tough way to get your break, but sometimes things like this are for the best. This time, I hope Cuddy's finger heals completely.

I would have done two things here, called up Span, sent Hernandez to AAA and called up Liriano. Inning eater or not he has struggled. Get rocked in the first couple innings then all of the sudden he wont give up anymore runs..

Hernandez would have to clear waivers to go down, just like Bonser would. I doubt if either would do so.

If that is really the case, I seriously doubt Livan'll ever accept the transition down to AAA.

That happens pretty often when a veteran player rejects the offer to be called down to triple A. He'll be likely to be a goner.

BTW, how's Liriano faring so far lately?

You're right, it's not too bad but I would have liked to see his ERA to get lower than that.
