Apparently. I didn't know a cycle and ONE win was the equivalent of a Cy Young caliber ACE

I don't think a guy hitting for the cycle once would be enough to please Padres fans if it was Jake Peavy that they traded for him.

Yeah, we're not happy with the trade...but we're happy with the fact that we got someone that is capable of producing. Gotta take what you can get.

I understand that. But I wouldn't say the trade has already paid off. Gomez could slip. I don't think he will, but one spectacular night doesn't make everything better

I agree. As of right now it's a 1 for 1. Gomez is producing. I still think we need at least one more prospect from the trade to produce to make it pay off. Either that, or Gomez keep it up and help the Twins get back to the postseason and WIN in the post season.

That's a good point. And the thing about the other prospects is that Humber and Mulvey project as middle of the rotation starters (at best), and Guerra is only in single A. So, as good as Gomez is, right now that one for one is still awfully lopsided.

Yeah, and who knows really when Humber or Mulvey will be able to produce at the big league level, so we have to be happy with what we have right now, just because of how lopsided the trade seems.
