    Twins Baker wasn't ready....

Scott Baker tweaked his groin in his last outing....causing him to leave the game. After a bullpen session to see how he felt in the middle of the week, he said he felt good and was good to go to pitch tonight.

    Well....

He re-injured his groin. He left in the 3rd while only giving up one hit while striking out two. Hopefully he will take it easy and fully recover from it this time. This guy is too good to be rushing back to pitch.

Thats not good. Shouldn't the trainers have known whether or not he was ready. If he wasn't they shouldn't have let him pitch. If he was....then thats just bad luck.

The Twins really need to be slow with these young pitchers as they are going to be the future of the team. Right now they should keep them down until they can get a steady offense around them instead of throwing them out there with the team they field right now. Hope Baker can recover quickly and hopefully they will not rush him back.

Baker threw a session on wednesday and it didn't affect him. Gardy said that he wasn't going to start tonight if he felt any soreness thursday. Baker said he felt great, and would be good to go tonight. So you can't really blame the coaching staff/trainers on this one, I think Baker just wanted to play.

    As reported by Yahoo! Sports.....
Baker left after three innings with a right groin injury. It was the same injury that forced him to leave a start against Texas a week earlier.
The right-hander was off to a strong start, retiring nine of the 10 batters he faced. Edgar Renteria led off the third with an infield single but Baker retired the next three batters before calling it a night. The team said he was removed as a precaution.
