Angels Vs Twins Series number 1

Twins open 2008 season at home vs an old friend Torii Hunter and the Angels.

Game 1 L. Hernandez vs J. Weaver
Game 2 B. Bonser vs. J. Garland
Game 3 N. Blackburn vs. J. Saunders
Game 4 K. Slowey vs. E. Santana

Tonights game should be fun to see. I expect the Twins fans to give Hunter a standing ovation when he comes up to bat. Hunter was the centerpiece of the Twins franchise for along time. To bad Polad could not spend the money to keep Hunter with us!

Now to the series. Hernandez I hope will be at the top of his game tonight. Because the packed house will do its part to get us the win tonight. Gomez and Young will be fun to watch. Two kids with a ton of talent. Gomez needs to get on base and create problems for Weaver. Maybe a stolen base or two tonight?

I am going to guess a 5-2 Twins win. Morneau or Young homers tonight is my guess.

Game two thoughts tomorrow morning.

Lets get off to a good start tonight! Go Twins!

Plus, it's on ESPN2 so that's the 2nd year in a rown I get to watch the opener!!!!

I'll be at work tonight, but I'm sure some of the guys will be watching this game (I get to pick the stations some of them watch).
At least its in a dome though. I wouldn't want to try to play outdoors in Minnesota right now. I guess they have about 10" of new snow on the ground. The only advantage to having the Metrodome around.

Little over an hour away. How do you think we will do tonight? If Hernandez can pitch into the 6th with no more than 2 runs given up we win.

Bet Hunter will have tears in his eyes when he steps in to hit for the first time. Still bothers me that we did not sign him.

I think the Angels will win and take 3 out of 4. The Twins will start slow but play better toward the end, IMO.

Still wondering why is Livan starting over Bonser?
