Twins Spring Training Game 1 VS Reds

Well I hope game one of the spring will not be like the regular season. Reds came out and played well against us. Game was close for four innings and then things picked up for the Reds. Now to Sxott Baker pitched well in his first start to the spring. Perkins on the other hand got lit up in one inning of work. If Perkins is going to be a contributor to the mlb club games like this he must forget. Games like this will only keep him in AAA. My only question is this, why did Morneau and Young not play?

Looks like Baker will be fine as a starter. He looked pretty good last season, once he gained the ability to trust his stuff. Maybe working with Redmond helped a bit last season?

I agree. Baker will be good, probably better than last year. He really came around towards the end of the year, gaining that trust in himself knowing that his stuff works. And working with Redmond definately helped him; hopefully some of the newcomers see this and seek the same help.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
