Somebody still has to pitch in that slot regardless of how they compare to Johan so the headline isn't inaccurate.

People have to understand that the Twins know Hernandez isn't going to be as good as Johan. He's there to put some experience in that rotation, not to be the next Cy Young winner. The Twins have Baker, Slowey, Bonser, Liriano, Blackburn, Humber....none of these guys are "seasoned" players. Most of them haven't played a full season at the major league level.
Yeah it sucks that Johan is gone, but what did you expect? For the Twins not to have a pitcher on opening day? They have to find somebody with experience.

I would agree with you, LTR. Hernandez could be a very good addition to the team, but nothing is certain.

A little harsh for a guy who won two Cy Young awards in a Twins uniform. Get pissed at Pohlad, not Santana.
I agree with both you guys. It's just not right, but Pohlad is a tool. That still doesn't put the warm fuzzy in my stomach. These prospects better produce something within the next few years, or it's gonna be like the whole Norm Greene thing all over again. Except about baseball of course.
